Nativity Strengthens Graduate Support with Two New Team Members
At Nativity Preparatory School, our commitment to students extends well beyond their years in our classrooms. From preparing eighth graders for the transition to high school to staying connected with alumni as they navigate high school, college, and beyond, Graduate Support is an essential part of the Nativity experience.
This year, Nativity is strengthening that commitment with the addition of Taron Brown, Manager of Middle School Placement, and Ty Perry, Manager of Alumni Support and Community Liaison.
Taron will work closely with Nativity’s eighth-grade students and families as they prepare for the next step in their educational journeys. His work will include helping students explore high school options, navigate the application and admissions process, prepare for important deadlines and decisions, and ultimately identify schools where they can continue to grow and thrive. Just as importantly, Taron will serve as another mentor and trusted adult helping our young men think intentionally about their futures.
Ty’s work picks up another critical part of the Nativity promise: staying connected after our students graduate. He will help strengthen Nativity’s relationships with alumni, track their progress through high school and college, connect graduates with resources and opportunities, and create more ways for alumni to remain engaged with the Nativity community. In his role as Community Liaison, Ty will also help bring professionals, mentors, alumni, and community partners into the school to share their experiences and invest their time and talents in our young men.
Together, these additions represent an important investment in the full journey of a Nativity student. Our goal is not simply to prepare young men to graduate from eighth grade. We want to help them successfully transition to high school, persist through the challenges ahead, pursue college and career opportunities, and know that the Nativity community remains in their corner.
“We talk often about the idea that once you are part of Nativity, you are part of this community for life,” said Nativity President Dr. Tony Alleyne. “Bringing Taron and Ty onto our team gives us greater capacity to live out that promise. We want to be intentional about preparing our boys for what comes next, staying connected when they leave us, and creating a network of people and opportunities that continues to support them.”
The addition of Taron and Ty is another step toward building a stronger, more connected Graduate Support program, one designed to ensure that Nativity’s impact continues long after a student walks across the stage at eighth-grade graduation.
