Nativity Prep and Siegel JCC Launch New Partnership Through STREAM Wednesdays

Beginning October 2026, Wednesdays will look a little different for the young men of Nativity Preparatory School of Wilmington.

Nativity is proud to announce a new partnership with the Siegel Jewish Community Center (JCC), which will open its doors to our students each Wednesday as the home of Nativity's new STREAM Wednesdays program.

The partnership represents more than a new location. It brings together two mission-driven organizations committed to the growth and well-being of young people, while creating an opportunity for Nativity students to learn and build relationships beyond the walls of their school.

"We are proudly a Catholic school, and part of living that identity is teaching our boys to engage the world with curiosity, respect, compassion, and a willingness to build relationships across differences," said Dr. Tony Alleyne, President of Nativity Prep. "Our partnership with the JCC is a powerful example of that. Two communities with distinct faith traditions can come together around something we deeply share: a commitment to young people and their futures."

A Different Kind of Wednesday

STREAM Wednesdays are designed to expand the traditional school day and give Nativity students additional opportunities to learn, explore, create, move, and grow.

STREAM stands for Science, Technology, Response to Intervention, Enrichment, Athletics, and Math. Students will participate in a rotating mix of academic support, hands-on learning, enrichment experiences, physical activity, and opportunities to explore new interests.

The JCC provides an environment that allows Nativity to think differently about what a school day can look like. Students can move between academic intervention and enrichment, athletics and wellness, and creative and experiential learning, all while remaining connected to Nativity's broader academic program.

For Nativity, the partnership also reflects an important part of the school's vision for its students. Nativity serves boys from a variety of backgrounds and welcomes students and families of all faith traditions. Creating opportunities for students to encounter different communities and traditions prepares them not only for high school and college, but also to become thoughtful young men capable of leading in an increasingly diverse world.

"We want our boys to know that their world is bigger than any one classroom, neighborhood, or community," Alleyne said. "Partnerships like this allow them to experience that firsthand. We are grateful to Ivy Harlev, CEO, Katie Glazier, JCC Program Director, and their entire team for opening its doors to our students, and we are excited about what our two communities can learn from one another."

STREAM Wednesdays will begin at the Siegel JCC in October and continue throughout the 2026–27 school year.

For Nativity, Wednesdays will be about more than changing locations. They will be about expanding possibilities.
