A special gathering at Snuff Mill honors the McConnells' extraordinary generosity and celebrates the naming of the Paul and Linda McConnell Innovation Center.
On Sunday, October 18, Nativity Preparatory School of Wilmington gathered with friends, supporters, and members of the Nativity community at Snuff Mill to celebrate the extraordinary generosity of Paul and Linda McConnell and their transformational $1 million commitment to the school's endowment.
The event was an opportunity to express heartfelt gratitude to the McConnells, whose investment will help secure Nativity's long-term financial sustainability and ensure that generations of young men continue to benefit from the school's tuition-free, transformative education.
A highlight of the celebration was the announcement that Nativity's newly renovated library and innovation space will officially be named the Paul and Linda McConnell Innovation Center in recognition of their remarkable commitment to the school and its mission.
"This gift is about more than financial support. It is an investment in the promise and potential of our young men and in the future of Nativity Prep," said Dr. Tony Alleyne, President of Nativity Preparatory School of Wilmington. "The Paul and Linda McConnell Innovation Center will serve as a lasting reminder of what is possible when generosity, vision, and a commitment to opportunity come together."
The Innovation Center will provide students with a dynamic environment to explore new ideas, strengthen their creativity, and develop the skills necessary to thrive in an ever-changing world. This space will provide our boys with opportunities to engage in STEM education, robotics, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and emerging technologies, including 3D printing and more.
As Nativity looks toward its next chapter, the McConnells' generosity represents both a celebration of the school's legacy and a powerful investment in its future.
On behalf of the entire Nativity Prep community, we extend our deepest gratitude to Paul and Linda McConnell for believing in our boys, our mission, and the limitless possibilities ahead.
